Experts from the San Diego State University Research Foundation, led by Dr. Nancy Frey, visited Gori Municipality and held meetings with Mayor Mr. Vladimer Khinchegashvili, Head of the Education Division under the Education, Culture, Sports, and Youth Department Ms. Nino Berianidze, and Mr. Giorgi Shatirishvili from the Kindergarten Management Agency. The purpose of the visit was to assess the local early childhood education landscape and understand specific needs.
Discussions covered current conditions in Gori’s kindergartens, emphasizing the critical role of high-quality early childhood education in supporting children’s personal and social growth. Inclusive education was identified as a key priority, along with the need for structured professional development and training for ECE staff to ensure a high standard of teaching.
The participants reviewed challenges faced by local kindergartens and explored potential solutions, reaffirming their commitment to advancing early education quality across Gori Municipality.
