A comprehensive training cycle for early childhood and preschool education quality experts is underway as part of the I2Q Project, supported by the World Bank.

In collaboration with the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, the training sessions are led by esteemed San Diego State University professors Nancy Fry and Jim Marshall. This initiative aims to enhance the professional development and capacity of education quality assurance experts in preparation for the authorization process, aligning with updated standards and procedures.

The training program has focused on critical areas, including:

  • Conflict Management and Positive Communication in educational settings.
  • Best practices in food safety and management for early education institutions.
  • Comprehensive guidance on the authorization process for kindergartens.

To date, a total of 65 experts have successfully completed the training sessions.

Looking ahead, the program includes a simulated authorization process to be conducted in selected kindergartens later this year. A simulated authorization council will convene in October 2024, where international experts will evaluate the process and develop actionable recommendations to refine and strengthen the system.

This initiative represents a significant step in advancing the quality and management of early childhood and preschool education institutions in Georgia.
