The Salary Scale Training was a significant initiative aimed at improving decision-making in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) system. For this task, SDSU contracted with ACT Global to conduct a study on the Baseline Salary and Salary Scale for Existing ECE Sector Personnel (March 2023). Held in July 2024, the 3-day training involved presenting the findings from the Salary Scale study and introducing two key tools—the Salary Projection Tool and the Data Collection Tool—developed by ACT Global.
The event brought together representatives from various government ministries, municipal leaders, and kindergarten heads, providing them with valuable insights into the financial aspects of the ECE system.Between July 16 and 24, data was collected from a total of 95 kindergartens and 459 personnel across 6 municipalities: Akhalkalaki, Vani, Dedoplistskaro, Gori, Zugdidi, and Lanchkhuti. Based on the data collected, two simulation scenarios were run through the salary projection tool.
The training outcome as well as the results of both scenarios were presented to the Ministry-invited stakeholders on July 26, 2024.
