With the support of the World Bank and within the framework of the I2Q project, SDSU successfully conducted a professional development 10-day in-person training cycle for caregiver pedagogues. The training sessions were held across six Georgian municipalities and aimed at enhancing the skills of ECE teaching staff. Educators representing 15 kindergartens from each of the six target municipalities participated in the training, gaining valuable insights from modules collaboratively developed by U.S. and Georgia-based professionals.
Following the training sessions, pedagogues received two additional classroom coaching sessions, benefiting 93 ECE institutions overall. The training sessions were attended by 210 participants across six municipalities: Gori (61), Zugdidi (30), Vani (36), Lanchkhuti (30), Dedoplistskaro (33), and Akhalkalaki (20).
The training cycle aimed to elevate early childhood education standards in Georgia by fostering professional development among educators.
